oh, Tomatoes, how i despise your taste. for long years I avoided you with disgust. Hatred. and so much more.
bright, red, and plump, the smell of your nectar makes me gag, while others smile.
your seeds anger me and your pulp makes me want to scream.
but while i hate you, i have learned to understand that many love you.
i will continue to avoid you, but i will continue to strive to understand you too.
why do you taste good as ketchup? yet taste Disgusting in a salad, or in a sandwich.
why is marinara and shakshuka so delicious? yet tomato soup so Nasty.
you amaze me. so versatile, and so disgusting. the paradox puzzles me.
i love your complexity and i hate your taste.
oh, Tomatoes.
(yes i wrote this in ten minutes and on a napkin, please enjoy.)
